School Ethos

Mission Statement

“Knowledge comes but wisdom lingers”, Tennyson.

We have chosen this maxim for our school crest, and bearing this in mind, we aspire, through a  holistic approach, to help our students reach their full potential so that they may develop as well-rounded individuals and be content in all facets of their being: moral, spiritual, cognitive, imaginative, aesthetic, social and physical.

In Ballyea National School we endeavour to provide an atmosphere which allows each child and each member of staff to reach his/her full potential. Conscious of our limitations we are fully committed to the holistic development of each pupil and we try to foster a climate of tolerance and an understanding of each person’s uniqueness.
