Our annual Sport’s Day was held on June 20th. Due to the redevelopment of the GAA pitch we had to use the school grounds this year. The children took part in many activities including basketball, skipping, unihoc, hurling/camogie, a HITT session, indoor soccer, musical chairs and playground activities. An enjoyable day was had by all.
Fourth Class went on their school tour on May 29th. We visited Bay Sports in Athlone where the children enjoyed a variety of water activities and Bushcraft Survival Techniques. The children had a great time on the inflatable waterpark. The sun shone for us the whole day and great fun was had by all.
We took part in the Food Dudes programme which encourages children to eat more fruit and vegetables. The Food Dudes supplied fruit and vegetables for eight days. After that the children brought in their own in the lunch boxes supplied by Food Dudes. The children earned rewards for eating a portion of fruit and vegetables each day.
Santa came to visit our school this morning in aid of Temple Street Hospital in his wonderful sleigh. We got some lovely photos with him and he even did the dab for us!
